Daniel 9:4

"I prayed to the LORD my God and confessed: "O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with all who love him and obey his commands,..." Daniel 9:4.

I was thinking this morning how great and awesome God is and I was of course reminded of the song, "Our God is an awsome God who reigns from heaven above with wisdom, power and love. Our God is an awesome God." I love that song. I love knowing that my God is an AWESOME God. So many people devote their lives to things and people that are unworthy of their devotion. I, however, do not fear that I am wasting my time or my devotion on the Lord. My God is great and awesome and no matter how patheic I become, and I can be really pathetic, God will keep His promises to me. Now that is something to be thankful for!

I am thankful for...

1. the awesomness of God.
2. Todd stripping the sheets off the bed this morning after Michael puked all over them and me.
3. left-over flank steak.
4. a wonderful small group filled with good friends.
5. cozy, fleece blankets.
6. Christmas bells.
7. Spaghetti MONDAYS!
8. my sister-in-law, Carey, who sent me a whole bunch of cute pictures of my very healthy nephew, James.
9. the fact that my friend, Amy, can "walk and talk" at the same time. :)
10. that like Daniel, from the Old Testament, the Lord will keep his covenant of love with me too.
