"Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart, for it is now that God favors what you do" Ecclesiastes 9:7.
Being with family is a blessing. Good food, good times, good wine, good shopping, good memories, and thankfully, so far, good kids. I am blessed. For so many poeple, going home to family is a stressful chore, but not for me. Whether we are in Stongsville, OH, or Simi Valley, CA, Todd and I are always very thankful.
Today I have a guest speaker. My wonderful sister-in-law, Carey, is going to share with us 10 things that SHE is thankful for...
1. healthy, sleeping baby James.
2. Christmas morning.
3. my husband, Steve, who drove me to Ohio.
4. hazelnut lattes.
5. fleece jackets.
6. working from home part-time.
7. bears.
8. my beautiful sister-in-law, Amy.
9. everybody's safe travels to Ohio.
10. my first Christmas with Steve as a parent to James.
And now for me...I am thankful for...
1. seeing and spending time with lots of family members.
2. watching Daniel jump around in his pack-n-play.
3. listening to Uncle Rich teach Michael how to bowl.
4. the sound of a fire crackling in the fireplace.
5. Michael trying to speak Spanish.
6. going to bed at 8:15 last night.
7. wearing a new shirt today.
8. Christmas stockings.
9. Todd babysitting the boys while the women went out to lunch.
10. the promise of Christ's return for his bride.
