My mother-in-law, Anu, is visiting this weekend, and she is such a gift to all of us. I can tell how important we are to her by the way she treats us and loves us, especially the children. Michael adores her, and his eyes light up when she enters the room. He can't wait to show her all of his toys and books and to bring her around the house pointing out all of the new and exciting things in his life. I am looking forward to watching her relationship with the boys blossom. I know that as they grow, she will continue to shower them with love and attention. God has blessed our lives with Anu, and I pray her life is blessed by us.

In honor of Anu, here is her Thankfulness list:

I am thankful for...

1. Todd and Amy buying me a ticket with their frequent flyer miles so that I can come to visit.
2. my three grandchildren.
3. my four kids.
4. being able to see Amy and Todd's Christmas Tree and putting two ornaments on it.
5. Todd thinking of me when he bought my Australian tree ornament.
6. the yummy lunch we had at Dean and Deluca...my treat!
7. Daniel's smile when someone pays attention to him.
8. neither boy drowning when I gave the boys a bath.
9. the wonderful meals that Amy makes on Saturday nights.
10. Michael "lighting up" when I come to visit.

Now, for my (AMY's) list:

1. spending my gift certificates at Ann Taylor Loft and getting some cute clothes.
2. Todd taking care of the boys while I was out shopping.
3. the yummy crab legs we are going to have tonight.
4. the yummy caramel macaroons we are going to have tonight.
5. Santa coming to visit the neighbor kids this morning and passing out Christmas books to everyone.
